"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

We’re thrilled to announce the return of our #SupportLocal initiative and this week we're featuring our favorite local cafe, Regulars Wanted Beanery!
Regulars Wanted Beanery serves the beautiful town of Julian specialty coffee, tea, baked goods, breakfast, lunch, craft beer, and wine. It's owned and operated by the lovely Jenifer & Christian Eggert.
What inspired the creation of Regulars Wanted? What’s your mission?
We couldn’t be more excited to announce our first featured business for our #SupportLocal initiative, Mountain Made!
Mountain Made is a small business dedicated to providing a quality line of locally-made merchandise that allows you to bring home a piece of the mountains and support the local community through your purchase; founded and operated by lifetime Julian local, Eva Hatch.
Over the past 4 years, a lot of things came together at very precise moments for us to be here today. This was all just a dream once upon a time. We wanted to live very intentional and purposeful lives. There came a moment where we finally decided to pursue that ideal, come what may.
This is how our lifestyle business ultimately came to be. One of our greatest passions has always been nature and culture travel. We always saw travel as a vehicle for breaking down cultural barriers, bringing people together and re-connecting with natural environments. We were also very inspired by the culture of eco-tourism, minimalism and responsible business models, which we encountered throughout our travels abroad.
We’ve got some exciting news to share today. Burnt Rancherica campground will be opening up early this year! We’re scheduled to be opening on the 5th of March and we can’t wait to host you. You can book Lions Den as soon as the weekend of March 5th and we’re working as fast as we can to get Deer Peak and Eagles Nest outfitted. Those should be available starting the weekend of March 12th. We’ll keep you posted.
Despite facing many new challenges last year, including being closed for about half the year due to COVID-19 lock downs, construction work and then the Valley Fires closures - we’re pleased to report that we had our best year on record nonetheless.
It was a back to back onslaught that we couldn't have prepared for, while we reached peak growth and visitor demand.
We’ve seen our highest demand ever in 2020 and that momentum has continued into 2021. We were projecting very strong months even in December and January, which are historically low months for us due to the cold and weather.
