"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Bell Tent Glamping in the SnowWhen we first set out to create our glamping business, we wanted to create unique and different spaces in nature that would appeal to a wide audience, including non-campers.

Our tree tents were a hit from the start, but we realized that experience wasn't for everyone. Our glamping operation in San Diego's backcountry can be challenging in these mountains at elevations of 6,000+ ft. Temperature is on average 10 degrees colder than the coast and the winter's can be brutal. It's known to get into the low 20's at times.

We had some doubts at first about being able to operate a year-round operation, until we tested the Stout Bell Tent in the winter for ourselves under heavy rain and snow conditions.

We were pleasantly surprised by the results. It's ideal with a portable buddy heater that keeps the tent warm and cozy even on the coldest nights.

The Stout tent has appealed to many non-campers because of its roomy and comfortable interior, as well as being able to withstand the elements.

We've hosted couples in our Stout tent looking for a romantic glamping getaway, as well as families and private retreats.

These are the kind of wonderful experiences we envisioned our guests having. We can’t wait to expand our operation to be able to host many more groups to come!

Our operation is growing fast as outdoor hospitality trends continue to grow in popularity around the world.

As part of our broad and on-going efforts, our team is launching a Kickstarter campaign starting on March 1, 2019. The money being raised will be used to outfit new sites in the Cleveland National Forest and some of our other sites in San Diego's backcountry.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to outfit at least 6-8 additional glamping sites. The money raised will be used to purchase equipment, including more Stout tents for a glamping caravan for pop-up events, weddings and other outdoor oriented over-night experiences.

Bell Tent by nightStout Tent is the most-trusted, highest-rated brand in the Glamping tent industry, with over 20 years of sewing experience in military-grade tents and parachutes. Veteran owned and operated, serving an international market with operations in Arizona and Vermont.

Stout Tent officially opened in 2013, but the tent history dates back to the 1990's. Jim packed and sewed parachutes in the Army from 1991 - 1999. He performed over 180 jumps with parachutes he and his team sewed, literally betting his life on those skills.

We've had nothing but fantastic results at our own glamping operation and Stout Tent stands the test of time and the elements.

We really set out to create a new standard for outdoor hospitality with our bell tent. Our plush & cozy bell tent was designed with the ultimate comfort in mind! It comes with a therapeutic queen mattress, pillows, linens, comforter, bedside tables, plush carpets & floor pillows, ambient lighting, chairs & can fit up to 4 people. The tent is ideal for families.

Our bell tent also features a safe & portable propane heater that keeps the tent nice and warm even during the coldest nights. The tents are completely snow and rain proof and also have ventilation windows for summer months with bug guard. The canonical shape deflects winds and leaves no place for rain or snow to gather. Stout Tents are the highest quality tent on the market & we strive to use the highest quality outdoor gear at our glamping retreats.
