There are many types of outfitted and guided services provided on National Forest lands. The traditional types primarily involve hunting and fishing in a backcountry setting, but today the industry is highly diverse and includes whitewater floating and jet-boating, backpacking, mountaineering, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and even dog sledding.

Glamping Essentials Checklist
We put a lot of thought into every detail of our glamping operation. We brought together a lot of ideas from our many travels, as well as firsthand experiences while roughing it in the outdoors. We never much enjoyed your typical tourist trap destination. The places we liked to explore were always the most remote areas and off the beaten path. This meant that we had to be very strategic with packing and keeping things streamlined with all the proper gear. It’s important to be extra prepared if you’re camping in the middle of nowhere hours away from civilization.

Our concept was inspired by fast growing immersion travel trends, which focus on experiencing a particular place by actively and meaningfully engaging with its history, people, culture, food and environment. It is also referred to as experiential travel and among the sectors expected to grow most quickly during the coming two decades.
